The Challenge

When AlwaysOnIT approached us in July 2023, they were facing a significant challenge in standing out in the highly competitive IT services market. Despite offering top-notch IT solutions, their online visibility was far from optimal. Their local SEO was underperforming, and their competitors were dominating the search engine results pages (SERPs), making it difficult for potential clients to discover AlwaysOnIT's services.

Our Strategy

To elevate AlwaysOnIT's position in the market and drive more business, our primary goal was to redesign their website, revamp their traffic, and secure them a spot among the top 3 results on Google map for strategically chosen local keywords. This required a comprehensive overhaul of their SEO strategy, focusing on several key areas:

  • Website Redesign: We embarked on a full-scale redesign of the AlwaysOnIT website to create a modern, user-friendly interface that reflects their brand's expertise and authority in the IT industry. The redesign aimed to improve user experience, reduce bounce rates, and increase conversions by implementing intuitive navigation, responsive design, and visually appealing graphics that resonate with their target audience.

  • Service Page Optimization: We meticulously SEO-optimized all service pages on the AlwaysOnIT website. This involved refining the content to include high-intent and high-volume keywords that potential clients were searching for, ensuring that these pages had commercial intent and were both informative and search engine friendly.

  • Google My Business (GMB) Profile Optimization: Recognizing the importance of local search, we optimized AlwaysOnIT's GMB profile. This step was crucial for improving their local SEO performance, making it easier for local businesses in Oregon to find and choose AlwaysOnIT for their IT needs.

  • Content Marketing through Blogging: To further boost AlwaysOnIT's online visibility and establish them as thought leaders in the IT industry, we initiated a blogging strategy which involved creating and publishing valuable, keyword-rich content that addressed the needs and questions of their target audience. The blog served as a platform to showcase AlwaysOnIT's expertise, attract organic traffic, and engage potential clients.

  • Link Building: We identified and pursued guest posting opportunities on relevant domains within the industry that boast high domain authority (DA). This approach aimed to enhance the website's backlink profile, drive referral traffic, and improve search engine rankings by associating AlwaysOnIT with authoritative sites in the IT sector. Additionally, we published press releases to further amplify the brand's visibility and credibility. These efforts were part of a broader strategy to establish AlwaysOnIT as a leader in the IT industry, leveraging high-quality backlinks and strategic partnerships to boost their online presence and authority.

Local Search Results

After a year-long campaign with AI-driven on-page optimization, technical and speed enhancements, guest posts, press releases, and strategic blogging, AlwaysOnIT now ranks number 1 in Oregon City for "managed IT services" and "IT support" searches.

Over the past six months, the visibility of AlwaysOnIT's business profile experienced a remarkable boost, with 1,426 people having viewed the business profile in local searches.

Another key win from our local SEO campaign is the 118 website clicks generated directly from the business profile. This metric is crucial as it not only signifies an increase in potential leads but also reflects the quality and relevance of the business listing. 

Engagement and Conversion Metrics

Engagement with AlwaysOnIT's business profile has also seen a notable uptick, with 392 interactions recorded. These interactions include actions such as clicks, direction requests, and phone calls, each serving as a direct pathway to conversion. Specifically, the 230 direction requests and 39 phone calls are particularly encouraging, as they represent high-intent actions by potential customers.

When we began our campaign, AlwaysOnIT's Domain Authority (DA) was at 15. Now, it's up to 18. DA is a score that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages. The higher the score, the better the potential to rank. To improve AlwaysOnIT's DA, we first analyzed their existing backlinks. Then, we set out to get more high-quality backlinks from well-respected and authoritative sites.

Our strategy included reaching out for collaborations, guest blogging, and making content that's worth sharing. This approach helped us boost their DA, making their site more likely to appear in search results.

Site Health 

Site health is a critical metric that reflects the overall condition and performance of a website. It encompasses various factors such as site speed, mobile usability, security, and the presence of errors like broken links or duplicate content. A healthy site is more likely to rank well in search engine results, providing a better user experience and potentially leading to higher traffic and conversions.

For example, if a site health tool or audit reports a 98% score, it indicates that the website is performing exceptionally well with minimal issues affecting its overall health. This high percentage suggests that the site is optimized effectively for search engines and users, adhering to best practices in SEO and web design.

We've been steadily building backlinks, and now AlwaysOnIT has over 2.4K of them. And we're not stopping there—we keep adding more. These backlinks aren't just for show; they help boost the website's Domain Authority (DA) and its rankings in local searches.

Initially, AlwaysOnIT struggled with very low organic traffic, which meant it was hard to find through search engines and wasn't reaching many people. But with focused SEO and content marketing efforts, we turned things around. We improved the website's content, made sure it was well-organized, and earned quality backlinks. These steps helped us get noticed and climb up the search rankings.

Even though IT services are a niche market with fewer searches, our strategy paid off. The traffic we gained led to valuable conversions, promising long-term client relationships and ongoing benefits for AlwaysOnIT.

Compared to 2022, AlwaysOnIT saw an increase of 1,483 % in organic keywords in 2023, after joining MSP Launchpad.

Growing the AlwaysOnIT website's ranking from just 5 to 422 organic keywords in a year shows how powerful a good SEO strategy can be.  It's all about being consistent, ready to adjust when needed, and using a full range of SEO tactics. This approach not only brings long-term success but also greatly increases the website's visibility and ability to draw in more visitors naturally.

 Conversions

Since launching our SEO campaign, the website, which went live in August 2023, has reached an impressive milestone of 115 conversions. It's worth mentioning that the first organic lead came in as early as September, showcasing the quick impact of our efforts. Conversions occur when visitors take actions we value, like making a call or filling out a form. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the website's initial low organic traffic and visibility.

While not every conversion immediately results in business, our focused and strategic SEO work has effectively converted these opportunities into 17 confirmed leads up to date, with 11 coming from organic search and 6 from PPC.
