The Challenge

When DivergeIT approached us in May 2023, they were facing a significant challenge in standing out in the highly competitive IT services market. Despite offering top-notch IT solutions, their online visibility was far from optimal. Their local SEO was underperforming, and their competitors were dominating the search engine results pages (SERPs), making it difficult for potential clients to discover DivergeIT’s services.Additionally, their existing website also did a poor job of showcasing the company’s services and lacked proper SEO optimization. This was a significant barrier to ranking better in search engines and generating leads from the website.

Our Strategy

  

To elevate DivergeIT's position in the market and drive more business, our primary goal was to redesign their website and secure them a spot among the top 3 results on Google Maps for strategically chosen local keywords. This required a comprehensive overhaul of their SEO strategy, focusing on several key areas:

  • Website Redesign: We embarked on a full-scale redesign of the DivergeIT website to create a modern, user-friendly interface that reflects the brand's expertise and authority in the IT industry. The redesign aimed to improve user experience, reduce bounce rates, and increase conversions by implementing intuitive navigation, responsive design, and visually appealing graphics that resonate with their target audience.

  • Service Page Optimization: We SEO-optimized all service pages on the DivergeIT website. This involved refining the content to include high-intent and high-volume keywords that potential clients were searching for, ensuring that these pages had commercial intent and were both informative and search engine friendly.

  • Google Business Profile (GBP) Optimization: Recognizing the importance of local search, we optimized DivergeIT's GMB profile. This step was crucial for improving their local SEO performance, making it easier for local businesses in Torrance and surrounding areas to find and choose DivergeIT for their IT needs.

  • Content Marketing through Blogging: To further boost DivergeIT's online visibility and establish them as thought leaders in the IT industry, we initiated a blogging strategy that involved creating and publishing valuable, keyword-rich content that addressed the needs and questions of their target audience. The blog served as a platform to showcase DivergeIT's expertise, attract organic traffic, and engage potential clients.

  • Link Building and Guest Posts: We implemented a link-building strategy to increase DivergeIT's website authority and credibility. This involved reaching out to relevant websites in the IT industry and securing guest post opportunities to share DivergeIT's expertise and build backlinks to their website. Besides this, we also create local citations every month.

  • Press Releases: Leveraging press releases, we generated buzz and publicity around DivergeIT's key achievements, services, and events. By distributing press releases to relevant media outlets and industry publications, we aimed to enhance DivergeIT's brand visibility and attract potential clients.

The Results

Local SEO Achievements

Over the past six months, the visibility of DivergeIT's business profile has significantly improved, attracting 1,665 views. This increase indicates better local search rankings and a stronger online presence. By optimizing the profile with relevant keywords, updating information regularly, and encouraging customer reviews, we've made DivergeIT more visible to potential customers searching for IT services in their area. Our efforts have also led to 211 clicks directly from the business profile to the website. This shows increased potential leads and the profile's quality and relevance. 

Engagement with DivergeIT's profile has grown, with 843 interactions recorded over the past 6 months, including website clicks, direction requests, and phone calls. Among these, 597 direction requests and 34 phone calls indicate high interest from potential customers.

After a year of work, including website improvements, citations, guest posts, and blog updates, DivergeIT is now the top choice for "IT services" and "IT support" searches in Torrance City.

Organic Conversions

Since the start of our SEO campaign, our website has hit a major milestone with conversions. This is a big deal, especially considering how the site had little traffic and visibility at first. These conversions include 46 organic call clicks, 28 email clicks, and 195 form submissions altogether. 

Here's how we did it:

  • Improved Organic Traffic: We made sure our website showed up more in search results by picking the right keywords and creating great content. That means more people found us online, giving us a bigger pool of potential customers.

  • Improved User Experience: We made the website faster, easier to use on phones, and simpler to navigate. When visitors have a good time on a site, they're more likely to stick around and do what we want them to do.

  • Quality Content: We created top-tier content that spoke to the audience's needs and questions. By offering helpful info, we built trust and showed we knew our stuff.

  • More Keywords, More Traffic: Our website started ranking for loads more keywords, going from 63 to 1,113. This meant we attracted even more visitors who were interested in what we offer.

  • Making Conversions Easy: We made sure it was super clear what we wanted visitors to do on our site. That meant adding clear buttons to buy or sign up, simplifying the checkout process, and making landing pages that really grab attention.

In just a year, our organic keywords jumped from 63 to 2,030. This shows how a good SEO plan can make a big difference. This growth means that the DivergeIT website can reach more people and get more visitors from search engines.

Organic Pageviews Results

At the start, the website struggled, and very few people found it through search engines. But, with focused SEO and content efforts, we boosted organic traffic significantly. We optimized on-page elements, improved content quality and internal links, and built a strong backlink profile to raise awareness and improve search rankings. Even though IT services keywords have limited search volume or high keyword difficulty, our campaign has overcome this challenge and delivered impressive results. 

From May 2023 to January 2024, our website saw remarkable growth: pageviews jumped from 2,511 to 13,959, clicks rose from 116 to 1.1K, and total impressions surged from 12.9K to 354K.

Site Health

With our technical SEO efforts, we consistently maintained DivergeIT's site health at over 95%. Typically, websites should aim to maintain a site health score of over 80%. Websites with a health score of over 90% are considered to be in excellent condition, exhibiting strong performance, reliability, and user experience.

We've been steadily building backlinks, and now DivergeIT has over 2.6K of them. And we're not stopping there—we keep adding more. These backlinks aren't just for show; they help boost the website's Domain Authority (DA) and its rankings in local searches.
